Another season comes to an end for Combe CC. Disappointed not to finish higher up the table but faced some tough competition at the back end of the season. Time for a break over the winter and then onto 2024! Will miss these sunsets at the Park Oval!

Another win for Combe CC yesterday after a close game against Minster Lovell Cricket Club. A strong batting performance, led by the skipper (Chris Moore), followed by a quality display of bowling. The winning streak continues. 🏏🏏💚💚

Disappointed not to get the win yesterday after a hard fought game against Shipton-under-Wychwood CC. Credit to Shipton for their batting performance at the end of the game. Anyway, out of genuine curiosity…who is actually in favour of WLD?! (If “Yes”, please explain why)

Back to back wins for the White Rose. Another ton for Chris Moore vs Chippy followed by a great all round bowling performance to get the job done. Also a big thanks to everyone who participated in the annual memorial game celebrating the Combe legend Bob Moss. #WeAreCombe

Not supplying an umpire is unacceptable- the Cherwell Cricket League view that you get 1 point bonus is ridiculous. I didn’t come to stand at square leg on my wknd as the oppo can’t sort an umpire. You looked down on OCA but they knew…5 points not 1 if you can’t provide one

Shame about yesterday’s result but good to get the season underway at the Park Oval. Some strong individual performances but we were outplayed by Swinbrook CC, so well done to them. We look forward to playing you later in the season 🟢⚪️
