Explosive revelation from Tanni Grey-Thompson that civil servants outside the limited Bill team are being tasked with working full-time on implementation of the assisted suicide Bill. This is a government Bill in all but name, and a massive distraction from more vital government work.

Aqua Voice, my favourite Mac dictation app, just dropped a strong update. New Replacements means you can swap shortcut phrases instantly — brilliant for speeding up voice workflows + better messaging and lots of fixes. A big step forward for hands-free voice productivity. 🌊

If this is even close to true, it’s horrific. And let’s be honest: despite being a “private member’s bill”, Starmer has pledged support and the government has put serious civil service weight behind it. What kind of society are we sleepwalking into? 👇

As a wheelchair user in Westminster, I’ve often been blocked or trapped by Lime and Forest bikes. £100 fines per bike long overdue. Next, the Council must tackle rogue e-bike and e-scooter riders — one scooter hit me, and others have nearly taken me out. westminsterlabour.org.uk/issues/2025/11…

Some nice touches in watchOS 26, but the big accessibility issues remain untouched. The Apple Watch still relies on wrist acrobatics many disabled people simply can’t perform. It’s long overdue for Apple to address this.

Labour’s Budget echoes far-right culture war rhetoric: removing 5% of “luxury” Motability cars and raising £300m by cutting Motability tax reliefs. The money comes from disabled people’s pockets at the cost of independence. I’ve written why it matters 👇 aestumanda.com/opinion/2025/1…

So disabled people must give up 5% of “luxury” Motability cars to help British industry… while ministers ride in foreign-built luxury models and company directors enjoy generous tax reliefs on executive cars. If luxury is the issue, let’s start with govt and company fleets. 👇

The Guardian confirms what I warned in my earlier ⁦⁦Aestumanda⁩ analysis: Motability cuts weren’t based on evidence or consultation, but on a right-wing online campaign. Alarming to see that narrative turned into Labour government policy. 👇 theguardian.com/world/2025/nov…

We’re seeing cuts to Access to Work by stealth, while Motability faces high-profile cuts announced in the Budget. Two of the biggest threats to disabled people’s independence — one hidden, one in plain sight. Deeply shameful from a Labour government.

Proud to have my letter in tomorrow’s Guardian, calling out the deeply cynical cuts to Motability and the impact on disabled people’s independence. These decisions aren’t abstract — they shape real lives every day 👇 theguardian.com/world/2025/dec… #DisabilityRights #SocialCare

Anyone who understands how parliamentary politics works can see this is effectively a Labour and Starmer-backed bill, not a typical independent Private Member’s Bill. The party’s support and the mechanics behind it make that clear. This is more evidence of where it really sits 👇

With the weight of government backing and parliament time, it’s easy to see that once the Assisted Dying Bill passes, Kim Leadbeater’s political stock will rise. Westminster rewards loyal alignment – often with a ministerial role. It’s the reality of how incentives play out there
