The citizens of Romania and Bulgaria belong to Schengen and deserve to fully benefit from Schengen freedoms. Today we took an important step towards a positive Council decision next month;

PM Marcel Ciolacu: I thanked Orbán Viktor & the #EU2024HU Presidency for their active support for Romania's full accession into #Schengen. Confident the final step will be soon made.

I think it would make more sense for the EU and the US to be talking about trade agreements rather than tariffs. Our approach will always be to try to find a win-win for all, but we are ready to react if necessary.
