This week we celebrated the successful completion of our Forton Coastal Defence scheme. A new 240m concrete wall built has reduced the flood risk to over 200 homes and 16 businesses, as well as an area of St Vincent College. Read more: ow.ly/SvEa50UQXEm

We are pleased to announce that Wessex Archaeology have joined the Selsey Coastal Scheme team! They will be carrying out investigations for archaeological potential along the coastline. Alongside @RHDHV & Atkins, we now have a complete project team involved in the scheme Chichester District Council

Take a look back at these construction clips of the Stokes Bay seawall. The project was completed in Sep 2024, & the Alverbank East Car Park & promenade reopened after being closed to the public for several years. This was due to the seawall being damaged by several storms 🚧

We teamed up with Solent Seascape Project & the Langstone Harbour Board to do fish surveys earlier this week. The surveys help to monitor the number of fish, inform decisions and understand ecosystem health. The fish in the pictures are a left-eyed flounder & a bass.
