$300K in Mayor’s Office pay raises? CUT. Mayor Donna Deegan says no to tax relief, but yes to political staff bonuses? Council will have more cuts to come. Stay tuned. ✂️

Interesting tweet (while on the clock), Phil! I assume you’ll support cutting your entire department’s budget back to 2023 levels? Thank you for giving us new ideas for how to save taxpayers even more money!

“This poll confirms what City Council hears every day - our constituents want lower taxes and less government waste. That’s exactly why I called for a responsible millage rate cut in the first place. No amount of spin or fear-mongering from the Mayor’s Office will change that. I

At best, this post is misleading. At worst, it’s an outright lie. I personally made the motion that tripled the city’s Meals on Wheels budget from last year. Disappointing to see Mayor Donna Deegan has gone from “Change for Good” to snake-oil politics in a little over two years.

✂️ The Finance Committee just slashed $185,000 from City Hall’s budget for lobbyists. Cutting waste means protecting taxpayers. #CutTaxesCutWaste

Jacksonville households are stretched thin, and they deserve property tax relief. This Council has the chance to put $13 million back into taxpayers’ pockets this year - and nearly $70 million over the next five years. On September 23rd, with the full Council present, we can

As Council President, I will be filing legislation to remove Leofric Thomas Jr. from his position. I call on my colleagues and Mayor Donna Deegan to join me in supporting this swift measure. This hateful rhetoric has no place in Jacksonville.

Thank you to my Council colleagues for passing historic property tax relief tonight- the 1st rate cut in years. This cut lowers property taxes by $13M this year and nearly $70M over 5 years, putting hundreds back in the pockets of local families. It also sets the stage for more

Proud to support my brother Terrance Freeman for State House. He has been a principled fighter on the Council and will be a huge asset to our city in Tallahassee!
