Huge credit to everyone involved in today’s farmers’ rally in London. Thousands of farmers from all over the UK stood united together to protest against the government’s inheritance tax on family farms. The rally was professional, dignified and peaceful. A powerful message.

Yesterday, British #Farmers donated 6.6 tonnes of fresh food, which = over 15k meals for Londoners facing #foodpoverty. #CityHarvest CEO, Calcutt: “We were honoured to ensure every donation was safely received + handled with as much care as the time + skill spent producing it."

Our latest polling suggests further evidence the Government may have ended up on the wrong side of public opinion in the row with farmers. Overall 58 per cent of the public say that they support the farmer protests while 13 per cent say they at they oppose them.
