Stop all CP giving, SBC.

This is slightly incorrect. It’s not that they want you gone, pastor. It’s that you have millions of dollars in the budget and over 40% of the members still want you to shut down the whole church.

What happened at #SBC2025 when Jeff Iorg used scare tactics and power politics to put his thumb on the scale against financial transparency and the Sanchez motion is shameful.

It’s too late to do anything now, but Jeff Iorg abused his position and authority in speaking to this from the platform in the first place. We need integrity in leadership, not constant pleas to trust the leadership despite an apparent lack of it.

This was a disanalogous and disingenuous argument.

2021: "Waive attorney-client privilege. If the SBC gets sued, so be it. Righteousness demands it." 2025: "The lawyers said we can't obey the Bible or we might get sued. Sorry."

The SBC isn't populist and Louisville/DC aren't powerful. The character of the SBC has changed, and so will everything else about it.

A highlight of #sbc2025 for me was the Center for Baptist Leadership event. I came away encouraged by the clear focus on issues that matter to conservative Southern Baptists, and Steve Deace was on 🔥🔥🔥! The board of this org and its contributors are as Southern Baptist as they come!
