Spent much of my high school life in Cabrini Green so it’s fitting WE GROWN NOW is the first film I saw of Chicago Int'l Film Festival. Dir. @minhalbaig perfectly captures the disorientation that comes when home and history are bulldozed in the name of “progress” & “safety.” A must-see!
