Work has started to replace the Greek Street bridge in Stockport 🏗️ This weekend, engineers are preparing the overhead line equipment ⚡️ to protect it during the reconstruction 👷🏽 Please plan your journeys in advance on National Rail between now and 23 Aug.

Today I saw the stunning new 3.4km Colne Valley Viaduct: soon to be UK’s longest rail bridge, it frees up capacity & gives resilience to West Coast Mainline & other routes. It has won the Royal Fine Art Commission Trust Commission Trust’s Building Beauty award: it is graceful; monumental; superb.
