If you could automate one of your reporting workflows what would it be? For Bobby Pinero it was the Daily Pulse he built at Intercom 10 years ago. Check out how Equals is building the product we wish we had in the early days.

It's amazing how much impact we've seen from shipping quickly at Equals. Ben McRedmond shares his 8 principles for putting this into action below!

I've run forecasting at businesses from $0 to +$250M in ARR. The two most important lessons: 1️⃣ Fewer inputs = more accurate forecasts 2️⃣ Move as quickly as you can from predicting the future to helping shape it Here's how we do it at Equals: wraptext.equals.com/how-we-forecas…

Best advice of the week comes from David Senra "It's the nature of things that hard problems are best solved when addressed backwards. If you want to be miserable, approach problems in a standard way and only believe information that agrees with your previous conclusions."

So many authentic stories and real world insights. Wish I had a resource like this earlier in my career. x.com/heyequals/stat…

Best advice I heard this week came from Brent Beshore's annual letter Permanent Equity "My goal was, and is, to always be useful, but never necessary. Each time I was necessary, I would make a note and try to figure out a way to empower someone to do it better than I ever

Knowing the health of your Sales pipeline is Step 1 to nailing your forecast. Here's how I measure it Equals: 1) Pipeline activity -> what changed WoW/MoM 2) Forecast win rates -> long tail vs. quick-close pipe 3) Swing deal reviews -> deal level forecast Post here:

Every early finance team in tech needs to nail ARR reporting. It’s the foundation for everything you’ll work on. ✔️ But if it’s so important, why is it SO HARD to get started? There’s so much to consider, you could write a book on the topic. 🤔 Well... Bobby Pinero and I did

This is one of the most authentic behind the scenes looks at how a company builds product that I've come across. Thanks Ben McRedmond for sharing!

Our ARR book is now IRL... This is the book Bobby Pinero and I needed when we were getting started. We wrote it so you don't have to suffer through the mistakes, rewrites, twist and turns before getting it right. Can't wait to get these into the hands of other builders at

ARR reporting is 𝒉𝒂𝒓𝒅. The most common challenges to I’ve come across are: - no standard (i.e. GAAP) definition - most Finance folks don't know SQL - the last mile -> getting to 95% is fairly simple but the last 5% is really hard Building the visualizations that sit on top

#1 most-asked question by our customers: "Does this count as ARR?" Thought I would share some reflections after having built this internally Intercom, Equals and on behalf of dozens of our customers. Let me know what you think! wrap-text.equals.com/p/what-counts-…
