Great Britain Women have confirmed their captaincy team for the IIHF World Championship Division II Group A. Leanne Ganney will once again captain the side with Saffron Lane and Lauren Summers appointed as alternate captains. bit.ly/2GrrCba

Head coach Cheryl Smith: "It didn't go all our way in the first two periods, but I was not worried. I know the damage these girls can do and they showed it in the third period. We made some changes in the second interval and the girls listened and responded, which was great."

Great performance from the girls today. We were very professional and got the job done. Plenty of positives across the ice

Another good training session this morning by the girls. Everyone is set and prepared for tonight's game. Slovenia will be tough opposition but the girls are focused and ready to go.

Really happy with the performance again across the 60 minutes. We defended superbly and scored some good goals. We must now stay grounded for Friday's game against the Netherlands

It wasn't to be today but we gave it a good go. Credit Netherlands they played a great game and deserved the gold. But the girls can hold their heads high. They had a great week and there's so much to be positive about for the future.
