Pharmaceutical care is a key component of patient care. Covid-19 has made clear the role that community pharmacists play in addressing the needs of patients especially those with long-term illnesses now that access to hospitals is very limited.

Effective patient-centered #pharmaceuticalcare is critical to prevent drug resistance, reduce irrational medicines use, eliminate wasteful spending, and most importantly, improve patient health outcomes.

Putting patients at the core of our interventions requires collaborating with them to obtain the best possible health outcomes. #Pharmacists practice of #pharmaceuticalcare plays a huge part in improving patients quality of life.

Pharmacum Care Uganda exists to improve the practice of #pharmaceuticalcare through research, advocacy, innovation, interprofessional education and training.

The energy surrounding practice of #pharmaceuticalcare in Uganda is enormous but how we respond to it is entirely another facet. One thing is for sure, we have to step out with the same energy to make it possible.#patientcare #ImprovingHealthOutcomes
