One #houseplant compost fits all = MYTH ❌ Choosing the right compost will make sure your plants not only survive but really thrive in your home. Houseplant expert Tony Le-Britton goes through different #compost mixes and what plants they are suitable for 🌵

Great session in front of the Lords Select Committee with Clare Matterson on similar issues to what Adam Frost is talking about - pointed out 1500 wildflowers; RHS have 80,000 cultivars logged with possibly 400,000 in gardens (We know National Plant Collections have 90,000).

Many people asking us about #bumblebees at the moment - why they’re seeing them on the ground - so here’s a quick thread to explain what they’re up to. Please #retweet as every #queen that survives means a new colony that gets to exist & produce new queen #bees for next year! 1/8

We are honoured and excited to share the news that flowers & foliage from our five RHS gardens will adorn the High Altar at Westminster Abbey during the Coronation of The King and The Queen Consort. FlowersFromTheFarm are also providing flowers for the historic event this Saturday

The Wisteria Walk’s magnificent purple cultivar ‘Kokuryu’ is now flowering after a much-anticipated wait. The white ‘Kimono’ cultivar is also starting to bloom, meaning that the two combined will provide a spectacular sight in the coming days. rhs.org.uk/gardens/wisley… #Wisteria

An awesome Young Peoples' Breakfast at The Newt Suite in #RHSChelsea this morning. So great to welcome so many amazing people from across the industry. Here's The RHS Director General Clare Matterson giving an inspiring speech. Gardens toured, pastry consumed, all happy. 😃👏

The RHS Garden Wisley Alpine Meadow looking dreamy! Doing no mow may (and June, July) since around 1860 and it is full of orchids and bulbs not to mention buttercups, clovers and yellow rattle. A mown strip around the edges really shows it off, making it look very intentional.

Exciting - this means I get to talk more about Plant Pathology, Biosecurity as well as the 'usual' invertebrates (and yes I'm thrilled - 25 years The RHS and the Plant Health Team is amazing) rhs.org.uk/press/releases…
