3-year appendectomy rate in patients with uncomplicated appendicitis in the APPAC II RCT was 36.6% in oral antibiotics alone, vs 34.8% in IV followed by oral antibiotics, suggesting oral antibiotics to be feasible also at longer-term. ja.ma/3UkslU1
