Syrian mothers still struggling to feed their children. Swift tangible humanitarian dividends for the people of #Syria is crucial, also to bring peace and stability. World Food Programme has the presence & capacity to scale up support, but more funding is needed. Hope #SyriaConf25 will deliver.



Good talks with EU colleagues in Brussels about World Food Programme operations in Gaza, Sudan, Syria, Ukraine, Sahel, and more. Beyond the humanitarian imperative, food security is also key for stability. In times of change, continued predictable support and leadership from EU is critical.

Shocked and horrified: 9 team members from World Food Programme’s partner Relief International were killed while saving lives in Zamzam camp, a place gripped by famine. We mourn this senseless loss & stand with their families, loved ones, and all at Relief International. Humanitarians are #NotATarget.
