I'm attempting to replicate a procedure I found in the literature for conducting alchemical transformations. How can I ensure that two atoms, which should remain together during the transformation, do not separate as they approach the boundary conditions? 🤔

I never thought that the peer-reviewing other people's manuscripts would help me overcome my imposter syndrome (or at least keep it at bay). I was used to reading only well-published work. Now I'm beginning to understand how many things are made that aren't worth publishing.
