After a well-deserved break, Center for Anticipatory Intelligence at USU kicked off a jam-packed June with CAIers attending events here in Utah and across the nation. Always great to connect with our #I3SC industry partners UVU CNSS & Strider Technologies, not to mention an amazing U.S. Marines Educator's Week!

Happy mid-July! Shout-out to the many CAIers across the U.S. fulfilling internships and jobs in the public and private sectors. CAI is proud of all of our outstanding alumni bringing global perspectives, analytical thinking, and cross-domain experience to their workplaces!

Our 2022 strategic culture class was certified in conducting ethnographic fieldwork this past week. Big thank you to Johnston Analytics, Inc., and Rob and Judy for their time and expertise! We are so excited to welcome back veteran CAIers and the upcoming 2022-2023 cohort!

What a wonderful way to kick off the semester with our annual CAI bootcamp! We loved seeing old faces and getting to know the upcoming 2022-2023 cohort. Special thanks to Josh Kerbel, Dr. Derrik Tollefson, and USU President Noelle Cockett for their insights and time. Go Aggies!

Dr. Jeannie Johnson presented a community talk on Anticipatory Intelligence and 21st Century Threats, highlighting USU’s forthcoming first-in-the-nation Master of Anticipatory Intelligence degree program. A group of CAIers also participated in UVU’s Conference on the Atomic Age.

During Fall Break, CAI hit the road! 🚗💨 Students and faculty travelled to Colorado to visit NORAD and NORTHCOM. In addition, we had site visits and conversations with private sector innovators at Google and Dark Owl. Massive thank you to all who made this a fantastic trip!

As co-lead of the Intermountain Industry, Intelligence, and Security Consortium, CAI was delighted to participate in the I3SC Fall Symposium hosted by our UVU CNSS partners! Our joint leadership teams gathered excellent input from Utah industry partners for future curricula!

For the fall speaker series CAI hosted Dr. Jeffrey Larsen, who spoke to students about NATO's response and adaption to Russia's war in Ukraine. Dr. Larsen shared insights into NATO's history, recent changes to NATO's defense posture, and the challenges it faces going forward.

We are thrilled to have the 2023 World Food Prize Winner, Heidi Kühn, speaking at the Food Security and Solutions Symposium on April 17th at 3:00 PM.

In response to misinformation circulating online: During his one semester at USU in fall 2021, Tyler Robinson was not involved with the Center for Anticipatory Intelligence, did not have contact with CAI faculty, and did not attend any CAI activities.
