Using current KDHE data & KS Dept of Education gating criteria, BV is in YELLOW. EC/ES will remain in-person full-time, while MS/HS remain in hybrid thru 3/12. On 3/23, all students registered for in-person learning will be full-time, in-person as long as district remains in YELLOW or GREEN.

Tonight BOE received findings & recommendations from SB 40 hearing officer on BV’s mask mandate. After discussion, BOE approved a motion for the mask mandate to stand for the 2020-21 school year. More SB 40 hearing info on district website.

There are not enough words to express the gratitude we have for all of our members! This year was stressful, overwhelming, and heartbreaking, but it also had moments of success, joy, and celebration. May you all find time to rest and recharge this summer!

Even though it’s summer, the BVEA officer team is still meeting and working for our members! We may have even taken a few minutes to sneak in a little lake time when we finished the day’s work!

After a morning meeting with our AMAZING leadership team, we made sure to take some time to connect and reconnect with each other over lunch! We greatly appreciate this fabulous group of educators and all they do to support our members and students!

The Negotiations Team has reached a tentative 2 yr agreement for the 2021-23 Professional Negotiated Agreement. As you know, BVEA bargains for BV professional employees. Please check your district email for detailed information and the voting link. Thank you for being a member!

The BVEF 31st Annual Community Breakfast was wonderful! The keynote speaker, the performances by our high schools, and the overall energy made this event just what we needed to kick off the school year! Well done Blue Valley Educational Foundation!
