It’s not the kids I’m worried about. It’s the teachers who hold them. The more time I spend with teachers, the more I am convinced that I’ve never seen so many of them this tired, this unseen, or this concerned about our kids. Our teachers are hurting.

Honestly, if you "don't know what your kids are learning at school," you aren't paying any attention at all. Emails, phone calls, P/T conferences, daily work sent home, ask your kids... my gosh. It's not even remotely hidden by the school. #IALegis

Teachers: I lend pencils but don't get them back Non-Teachers: Just have students return them at the end of class Teachers: I teach but they keep looking at their phones Non-Teachers: Just tell them phones need to be put away Teachers: Thank you I have never thought of this
