The recent Russian attack on Ukraine with a "hypersonic missile" is misleading. Ballistic Missiles whilst the travel at hypersonic speeds are not considered true hypersonic missiles. It was an intermediate range ballistic missile/IRBM. It was at best (worst?) it was a HGV.
