A chance to see one of the Midland’s rarest artefacts in the new exhibition UoN Museum co-curated by our very own Dr Chris King Chris King. Unlike today, Wool = Wealth in the medieval period. #Archaeology #medieval #Nottingham Visit Nottinghamshire

Now’s the time (when isn’t it?) to to think about publishing in Thoroton Society Transactions if you have a history/archaeology of Nottinghamshire article. Get in touch with me or Chris King. We’re here to help and advise.

Great to visit Archaeology Nottingham students in the final days of this year’s ‘We dig…Wollaton’ with York Archaeology! Despite challenging weather they’ve made great progress - more signs of the Willoughby’s lost greenhouse emerging.

Thanks to Castle Studies Group for open access publishing my article on Tattershall Castle Castle in the 13th Century. Most scholarship has focused on the 15thC castle so this has been a great opportunity to look at the origins of the site. castlestudiesgroup.org.uk/CSGJ36-05-10-2… Archaeology Nottingham National Trust Archaeology
