I enjoy the contrast between the skulls of the horse and the camel where the camel looks like someone was like okay let’s make a horse but fucked up and evil

As promised here is a video of NES GLUG by Paul Proctor which I rescued recently from his development disks. This is the first time this has been seen by anyone apart from a few close friends and the Stampers at RARE. His disks were in a bad state and needed a deep clean.

Block duplication is not something "systematic" at all. It's pure chaos. Each duplication occurs under unique conditions, and every minimal disturbance changes the entire system. Most of the hardest optimizations in this run envolves a chain of duplications.

I've created an MMC3 template for developing #NES games in C using 8bitworkshop.com. It includes an offline compilation script as well. It's fully documented. github.com/ninjadynamics/… #NESDev #gamedev #indiedev

My man Miyamoto and his museum staff pal managed to perform a wall catch while playing SMB in the gigantic NES controller, what a treat

just realised how to make a state-based libraryless software renderer. like what if applications only used the CPU when they need to, and the rendering is so lightweight it doesn't even need a GPU... oh hey it works

Previously, I posted about how bosses and large enemies in Yoshi's Island are dynamically shaped from cones, though the explanation provided was purely textual. Below is an animation showing the process in action, constructing a Nep-Enut enemy line by line from a cone.
