"I think you have a greater chance to lose your team when you're transactional as a leader. Which is the way I was until 1998. In other words, everything was about winning or losing... Negative experiences without teaching kills morale..." - Nick Saban

Some food for thought if you are involved in #travelbaseball in #georgia. That $150 an hour that you pay ā€œinstructorsā€ to spend 20 minutes on their phones, load baseballs onto a tee for 20, and finish up with a strong 20 minutes front toss session is not the way.

Clock is ticking on you adults who make a living serving a below average product and selling the get seen pipe dream. Since most of you don’t actually have a proven method to develop players there will be a lot of empty warehouses in metro Atlanta šŸ˜…

1) Read more than you think you should 2) Write down everything, about everything, all the time 3) Build as many relationships as you can and learn to connect the dots between those relationships 4) Never turn down an opportunity to learn or to work

As someone lucky enough to afford sports programs for my children, the business of youth sports is out of control. Paid $15 to park and $15 to watch one game of my son play basketball. IMO, this is why parents are stressed out and hoping their "investment" pays off.
