[High Surf and Dangerous Rip Currents] Despite very nice weather with highs mainly in the 70s for much of this week...powerful Hurricane Erin will result in high surf and dangerous rip currents to ocean exposed beaches Tue through Fri...particularly those that are south facing.

What a change! Yesterday was hot and humid with a high of 92° at BDL....but a strong cold front has moved by and I expect temps to be 15° cooler today! Sun will break through the clouds and the next several days are generally fair. Erin misses us, thankfully. #NBCCT

Good morning! My long time weather watchers are reporting the beneficial soaking that happened yesterday. 1"-2" was most common, but many went 2"-4"! Just what we needed...weather slowly improves today and the next few days look great! Erin out to sea!
