General Ed teachers talking about how they’re “no good” at teaching students who receive special education services is disturbing. 1) students who receive sped services aren’t a monolith 2) the entire point of public education is to serve all students indiscriminately

With the state of the teaching shortage today, the fact that this isn't a bigger push in all states is surprising to me. Want more people to join a profession? Maybe don't force them to do free labor. And don't tell me there's no money. We just choose to spend it elsewhere.

Today Dylan and David from Nivaro kicked off the first day of their instruction w/ Mrs. Lloyd & Mrs. Bolyard's CS Foundations class on building an AI app. We cannot thank them enough for preparing a curriculum for them and Dr. Priddy & Brian Markley (He/Him) for supporting this connection.

Best advice I can give a teacher? 95% of the time? It’s not about you. It’s not an affront to you. It’s not personal. Students have whole lives and they spend a few hours a week being themselves in your class. It’s not that serious. It’s probably not you.
