Just out of a productive meeting re: potential grant and stopped to admire our pair of masters chairs dated back the 17th century in our Ondaatje Building. Here's one #historicfurniture

Two of our copies of Peter Blundell's will, drafted in 1599. These two are dated from 1601. Following Blundell's death that year, his 'dear and honourable friend' Sir John Popham began to fulfil Blundell's wish to found a school for boys in Tiverton. We've been going since 1604.

Bit of archaeology this morning at school. This turn of the century pill bottle by B.W. & Co, London was dug up intact by our fabulous grounds team down by the prep school. You can't see it on the photo but it has a very nice iridescent sheen 🌳🌳🌳

Archive back open after Half Term! While I was in London this week I visited St Thomas' Hospital which received Β£250 from Peter Blundell's Will to buy property, the income from which was used to look after the patients. πŸš‘πŸ₯

With my A-Level students sitting their mocks this week, I finally have some more time to work on my textile conservation project! This morning I've been sorting the boxes of uniform including this boater from 1934 and Fives gloves from 1915.

The multi-tasking archivist/teacher at work yesterday - last minute cover whilst working on my cap project. This is our oldest one (I believe!).
