If Democrats really want to play in the influencer space and do outreach they need to spend money on building up a platform for content creators who can appeal to the Latino and Black voters, not just white boys.

I literally get chills watching the Senator Padilla video being hemmed up by those goons. Congressional Dems FFS no more respectability politics. Every last one you better have his back. He was doing his job asking questions to a cabinet secretary.

I introduced the Medicare and Medicaid Dental, Vision, and Hearing Benefit Act. This legislation is personal to me. 18 years ago, a young Marylander named Deamonte Driver died of complications from a tooth infection because his family was kicked off of Medicaid.

Polling roundup: Trump is underwater on 11 of 12 questions about immigration and the LA protests. Polls show voters don't like mass deportations or the federal troop deployment. At this point, Trump has moved policy noticeably beyond what public opinion has sanctioned.

Just a reminder that the convos about politics online (esp. on social media platforms) are NOT a representation of the general public. For example: Black people who rely upon social media are more likely to be people who did NOT vote & generally pay LESS attention to politics.

So the KING of controversial takes & mid-sentence interruptions says it’s a bad look for Padilla to challenge outright lies & misinformation??!?!??? I’m glad the talk of a presidential bid died down bc this clown just keeps showing he’s just about clicks & attention.

With Black voters making up ~16% of the electorate, they can make a difference in this election. And, w/Black Voter Project data putting Black support for Donalds at 12% (even a majority of Trump supporters dislike him), you can bet they won’t be voting for him just bc he’s Black.

For all those calling the ICE & #NoKingsDay protests “violent riots”…a very different story of peaceful protests is coming straight from the horses mouth.

I get the enthusiasm, but I haven't really seen any good evidence that Zohran is favored to beat Cuomo beyond spurious early voting numbers with no appropriate baseline for comparison. If he pulls it off, it'll be an upset — he has a definite chance, but it's 30/70 type of odds.
