Still loving that @CharityBostick & Kaileigh Newman did some cross-curricular planning for this unit! We are using the access lenses to analyze photos &write about the photographer’s message. P.S. I’m short, so they thought a post-it up high was funny, but they did the work!🤣😃

Today, our emergent bilinguals learned (but also reviewed) & TAUGHT each other vocabulary in context. I can’t wait to see them use these words to make claims and support them in the culminating writing task.

If you’re struggling, SAME. Survival tip #1: Notice the good. Managing 35 kids with a group project in April is TOUGH, but it’s worth it to see the productive interactions, end products (This one isn’t done.), and a little note from your kiddos. ✨💙

The heaviness of this profession can easily drown you if you try to do it alone. Survival tip #2: Lean into your support system. I’ve had to learn to trust my people who are in it with me. Last night, my team passed out books at Family Engagement night TOGETHER. 💙
