PRIMATE: too many recent horror movies have been about boring things like “trauma” or “loss” or “forgiving your parents” instead of fun, interesting things like “what if there was a rabid chimpanzee who wanted to rip your fucking face off”—at last, a film to right this wrong

#28YearsLaterTheBoneTemple is a masterpiece by both Alex Garland and Nia DaCosta. Visceral, thought-provoking, and twisted (complimentary), it changes how you view the entire franchise. Already seated for part III.

THE needle drop scene in #28YearsLaterTheBoneTemple is going to be in my head for months. What movies are supposed to do for us. Absolutely no notes.

#TheRipNetflix was extremely fun. Matt Damon and Ben Affleck in a slick, gritty crime thriller that balances slow burn tension with excellent bursts of action. Sometimes the review is that perfectly simple and obvious.

Very damning to see how certain people reacted to this film with such vitriol and refusal to engage with its text. But alas, I’m so grateful it exists and that Boyle & Garland will get to finish what will probably end up being the most formally interesting trilogy of the decade.

Oscar nominee Delroy Lindo. You can literally watch Siskel and Ebert describe how underrated he is sometime around 1993. A long time coming and the most exciting nomination.

Horror is represented with nominations in every major category at the #Oscars2026 - Sinners! Weapons! Frankenstein! Ugly Stepsister! - and a HORROR MOVIE is now the most nominated film in Academy Awards history. Let that sink in. 2025 will go down as an all-timer year for horror.

#SendHelp is the best film of 2026 so far. I’m so serious. The Dylan renaissance continues but holy cow is this sneaky one Rachel’s best roles. Took me on a proper trip - not your typical survival story. I gasped. I laughed. I winced. W Raimi. Screen Rant

The most nominated film in Oscars history is a movie that features a dissolve from our main vampire to the full moon as well as the line “they’re vampires” both accompanied by a sick ass electric guitar sting. So beautiful I could cry.

Rachel McAdams & Dylan O’Brien tell us why more original horror films need to be funded. “The safety net does away with a lot of original swings... so many of those stories are not even being given chances, not being given budgets, not being given to amazing filmmakers.”
