After a long journey, our paper has finally been published. We studied the function of POGZ, a risk gene for autism and other NDDs, by generating a brain-specific KO. The mouse showed developmental, cognitive, and social abnormalities. nature.com/articles/s4146…

Three studies, including ours, were published recently on POGZ, a high-confidence autism gene. Very nicely covered by Angie Voyles Askham Spectrum (Autism Research News) spectrumnews.org/news/mice-with… Our paper: nature.com/articles/s4146…

Our new study: what causes the tissue specificity of diseases? Analysis of tissue-specific essential genes shows that preferential expression explains a minority of cases. Instead, we provide evidence for other mechanisms like paralog interactions and intercellular communication.

Excited to see my final work in the lab out in JNeurosci SfN Journals! Through single-cell simulations, we explain the Ca2+ spike response to synaptic perturbations and ACh modulation. Special thanks to Mickey London, Idan Segev, Michael Doron, ELSC Brain: jneurosci.org/content/42/7/1…

Do you agree that Ben Title et al.’s report in Science Advances suggest a regulatory mechanism that tune dorsal horn output in acute pain conditions and could contribute to pain chronification? bit.ly/3GDIaRN #PRF #EditorsPick
