Incredible that this petition has received 6317 signatures so far. When it reaches 10,000, the Government has to respond. Social workers deserve the same protections as all frontline emergency workers. Well done BASW and Social Workers Union for pushing this petition.parliament.uk/petitions/5804…

This has been a tough week for some of us in the branch. We thought it would worth saying a big thank you to all Social Work Managers who go above and beyond to support their team. A good team manager makes a world of difference 👏

Disabled children face greater risk of abuse across all settings, yet the training social workers receive to safeguard them can be inconsistent. If you have 5 mins, please complete this survey by BASW and the NWGSDC to help identify gaps & improve practice. BASW BASWstudents 🌟

We asked family carers/paid supporters about visitor restrictions. Over 85% of people with learning disabilities had some form of visitor restrictions where they lived. At least 1/5th of people had not been allowed any visits from family and friends since lockdown began.

Perhaps the ppl of Batley & Spen would like to know that Cornwall voted to give up EU funding for Johnson Gove promises. They now get £1 for every £8,333 they got from the EU. Perhaps a few retweets might get the message up there?
