Combining biochemical assays and confocal #microscopy 🔬, we show that Nup98, a component of the nuclear pore and annulate lamellae in the cytosol, is recruited by #HCV core protein to viral assembly sites, where the concentration of +RNA genome is increased. 2/3

Our paper is out at Journal of Cell Biology. ORP5/8 control lipid droplet biogenesis and maintenance at mito-associated membranes (MAM), via their lipid transfer activity. MAMs recruit ORP5/8, phosphatidic acid, and seipin during lipogenesis for proper LD assembly. rupress.org/jcb/article/do…
