3) The history of gun laws and enforcement is built on our country's history of systemic racism. Under New York's licensing law, Black and brown people are over-policed, criminalized, and imprisoned for exercising their constitutional rights.

4) Gun regulation and criminalization embedded in discriminatory practices will only fuel mass incarceration instead of making us safer. 5) We represent the people of The Bronx. We will fight like hell to protect the rights of the people we serve whenever they are violated.
