As an American citizen, I’ve never been concerned about foreigners working in the US, & I don’t think I ever will be. In fact, in the private sector, you actually have to be good at your job. That’s no shade to cleared people but you are competing against the world going private.

What concerns me, however, is the rise of artificial intelligence and the lack of regulations that will not be enforced. That’s the end game and you better get a niche because it’s going to come for everyone.
