In our latest paper, we found that individuals with PTSD in Sweden were 3 times as likely as their siblings without PTSD to be convicted of a violent crime. The work was led by my Karolinska Institutet colleague Isabell Brikell, Ralf Kuja-Halkola and their student Anabelle Paulino.

Great blog about new paper on violence outcomes (victimization and perpetration) in mental illness based on Danish population registers. Still can’t do this in the UK. Ends with some thoughtful implications - prevention a key way to reduce stigma, not ignoring the evidence.
