Last night I hosted a green skills report launch for Sureserve. I mentioned the amazing work of New City College #Rainham campus and welcomed policy to deliver meaningful work, green and decent social homes, and happier, healthier lives in places like my constituency. 👇

This morning I joined the PCS Union (pcs.org.uk) picket outside Parliament, and I have signed EDM 1781 (edm.parliament.uk/early-day-moti…) in solidarity with security staff striking over attacks on their T&Cs, and changes to annual leave among other issues.

I am running to be Deputy Leader of The Labour Party. As a proud working-class woman from the North East, I have come from a tough council street all the way to the Cabinet. I will be a strong voice to unite our Party, take the fight to Reform, and deliver for our country.

Closing the front counter at #Dagenham Police Station will leave my constituency, and the wider borough, with nowhere for residents to report crime in person. Dominic Twomey and I are calling on the Mayor of London and the Met Commissioner to have an urgent rethink. 🚨🚔👇

This morning I laid a wreath at the #Dagenham Heathway memorial to mark the 85th anniversary of #battleofbritainday. Our freedoms are built on the sacrifices of those brave few who stood against tyranny to defend our skies in 1940. #lestweforget 🇬🇧

Unfortunately, these three councillors only found fault with Labour after failing to be reselected. Our Labour councillors remain focused on delivering for everyone in Barking and Dagenham, not personal agendas.

.Sadiq Khan is not trying to impose Sharia Law on London. This is a Mayor who marches with Pride, who stands up for difference of background and opinion, who’s focused on improving our transport, our air, our streets, our safety, our choices and chances. Proud he’s our Mayor.
