Shauna McClenaghan from @idpinishowendev urges you to sign this petition. It takes less than a minute. If you are keen on community-led local development and want to protect #LEADER funding you'll want to sign it.

“The latest public opinion poll shows that 76% of Jewish Israelis agree – in full or in part – that ‘there are no innocents in Gaza’,” reports Hagai El-Ad from Jerusalem. “The world must step in,” he says, calling on us to demand our Government and others take concrete action.

I'm working through media in community development since 2001 and watching the full-length SICAP case-study videos from which this 3-minute summary video is drawn was still an education. It's an awesome programme and you have some of the human #SICAPStories behind the stats.

Sometimes commmunity volunteers are surprised by what they find! As a Waterford volunteer said: "We did a survey (and found) people really do care about the environment." His group was surprised by no. of ppl. experienced fuel poverty. Now they're taking action. #SICAPStories

Sumud boats currently being intercepted by Israel, likely to illegally abduct and imprison those inside. I’m on one of the Thousand Madleens boats just behind. We need escalation from home to end the impunity with which this rogue state commits genocide and stifles opposition

It's always fascinating listening to community development workers, many of whom come from the communities they now work in, tell about the work they do. It was an occasion for celebrating achievements as these photos hopefully show! #SICAPStories

Interesting day, well attended, great grub. Lots of examples of good practice. And Leitrim is lovely - I didn't know it was famous for wild roses. Now to find my way home! If I had a boat I would sail all the way down the Shannon.

It's important to celebrate success. Important to network, swop ideas, hear concerns, aspirations, plans. To connect! I got a few gems of story leads. Happy days back in Ballina!

Here are 2 more from Templeglantine, Co. Limerick, and from Carrick-on-Shannon, Co. Leitrim. While I've been to both places recently, I only saw the libraries online - they are small to spot in fairness! The one in Bruff is marvellous I have to say, having seen it in person.

The Government continue to say the right thing on the Occupied Territories Bill, but actions speak louder than words. Settlement trade continues without the action promised. It's up to Helen McEntee TD to deliver. Listen to the ICJ and the Foreign affairs Ctte, pass the legislation,
