❗️ Cutting disability support won’t help people back into work. And it won’t help people who are already working. Shockingly, cuts could drive 3.2 MILLION people deeper into hardship.

Can any Reform UK voter tell me why you’re voting for insurance based healthcare? Why do you want to deny yourself and your colleagues workers right? Why do you think Farage wants this? It’s for him and his wealthy buddies to profit! Wake up. He lied in 2016 & lies in 2025.

My MP is Vicky Foxcroft 💙. She was Shadow Minister for people with disabilities before the election. Starmer has made her a government whip, so her constituents have no voice at all against the cuts. She will be whipping her colleagues to vote for them. #TakingThePip

Last summer, when you stood to enter Number 10, you made the promise that 'any burden would fall upon those with the broadest shoulders' By pushing pernicious policies that cut support to disabled people you broke that promise. You are also going against the manifesto

This is not a concession - these proposals were in the Green Paper. I hope colleagues will see that £7 billion in cuts will make disabled people poorer. No amount of warm words mask the reality - cuts don’t create jobs they create austerity. I’m voting NO.

Given the weight of evidence we have on the devastation they will cause, I’m struggling to see how any Labour MP can, in all good conscience, vote with the Government on the forthcoming disability cuts. They target some of the most vulnerable people in society - precisely the

Private Eye has found that that 281,000 PIP claimants *already in paid work* stand to lose out under the proposed cuts (i.e the four-point rule) That's 55% of all PIP claimants in paid work, according to the article (not my article but I want to flag it)

Slashing disability support will plunge thousands into destitution. Waves of Conservative cuts left our welfare safety net in tatters. 75% of foodbank users are disabled or in a disabled household. The answer isn’t piling more cuts onto the most vulnerable. I’m voting NO.

Presenter on Sky News says carers of people who lose PIP "may" lose their Carers Allowance. NO. Carers of people who lose PIP WILL lose their Carers Allowance. There is no "may" about it. You cannot receive CA unless the person you care for receives PIP. So much misinformation

The Independent Alliance has tabled the following amendment to the Government's disability cuts Bill. MPs should think long and hard about the dreadful consequences these cuts will have. Rest assured, we will keep campaigning for the rights of disabled people to live in dignity.

(1/2) With a heavy heart, I have written to the Prime Minister to tender my resignation as a whip. Whilst I will continue to support the government in delivering the change the country so desperately needs, I cannot vote in favour of the proposed reforms to disability benefits.
