It was a great honor to deliver a TIFR colloquium that was started by the founding director, Dr. Homi Bhabha in the 1950s Tata Institute of Fundamental Research. Thank you all for asking brilliant questions. And hsd a nice dinner at a Konkani restaurant in Hotel Taj President Mumbai with Ankona & Jyotishman Dasgupta.

An important investigation has been opened into the death of a scientist who was studying prion diseases in Spain. Tragic story my condolences to friends and family. If confirmed this makes the fourth death in recent years. Safety must be #1 priority. english.elpais.com/science-tech/2…

My first-author paper looking into how copper and oxidation modulate #prion protein #phaseseparation is out🤩 Thank you for all support from fantastic PhD mentors and collaborators! Yraima Cordeiro @WegmannLab @Msatabdee Aline Passos science.org/doi/10.1126/sc…

Pre-print Alert ‼️ Here’s our work about how a modular protein domain can systematically alter designed biomolecular condensates. Laura S Itzhaki Dept. of Pharmacology, Univ. Cambridge The work was led by Chris Tin Long Chris Ng, Mateo & Julia Julia Maristany. Thanks to everyone involved…

Happy to share our latest preprint on chaperone-mediated heterotypic phase separation of tau studied using fluorescence imaging & anisotropy, vibrational Raman, FCS & single-molecule FRET by Sandeep Kumar Rai Roopali Khanna Anusha Sarbahi & Ashish Joshi. biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

Another chance to join us Babraham Institute. If you're looking for a postdoc at the intersection of proteostasis & ageing, with proteomics & imaging across yeast & human iNeurons, get in touch! Oh, and a great opportunity to be a core part of UK Proteostasis Network babrahaminstitute.livevacancies.co.uk/#/job/details/…

Our first paper of the lab is out!! While both, VAMP2 and alpha-synuclein have been extensively studied, we reveal a novel, unexpected role for their interaction. #Parkinsons #Neuroscience Cambridge University

I'm super excited to share a Nature Cell Biology paper Nature Cell Biology of my former PhD student, Aishwarya Agarwal Aishwarya Agarwal, who is currently doing her postdoc with Janin Lautenschläger Janin Lautenschlaeger at the University of Cambridge The CIMR Cambridge University. nature.com/articles/s4155…

In the latest paper in The Journal of Physical Chemistry Letters, we describe the behavior of water in condensates studied by Raman spectroscopy. Congratulations Ashish Joshi Anamika Avni (co-first & co-corresponding) Anuja Walimbe Sandeep Kumar Rai Snehasis Sarkar @IISERMohali pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/ac…

Happy to share our latest (4th) paper in Nature Communications Nature Communications on energy migration via homoFRET to study biomolecular condensates in vitro & in situ (in cells). Congratulations to peerless Ashish Joshi Anuja Walimbe, et al. @IISERMohali. doi.org/10.1038/s41467…

Take your chance and join our team in 2025 at The CIMR Cambridge University We have a targeted, fully funded #PhD project available in collaboration with the lab of delladavid-lab.bsky.social. Have a read here: bbsrcdtp.lifesci.cam.ac.uk/available-targ…

Very happy to see this out! A real group effort from numerous people in the Hyslop (The CIMR) and KnowlesLab Cambridge. Also big thanks to M W lab Vendruscolo Lab, DeriveryLab Marciniak Lab for their invaluable contributions! 🎉🎉🎉 nature.com/articles/s4146…
