In a now-private video, Giselle did something that genuinely hurt many MYs and non-MYs. It is important to remember that we are humans before we are fans. This is why I believe it is crucial that we address this issue quickly and effectively

in savage’s jacket behind the scenes video, giselle lip synced to a racial slur while listening to SZA’s love galore. i do not in any way defend her actions and i hope she recognizes what she did and apologizes to those that she has hurt.

giselle has since apologised for her actions on aespa’s official twitter account but please keep in mind that if you’re not black, this is not your apology to accept, and if those affected by her actions choose to not accept her apology, that’s ok they do not have to.
