🌊🔬 We brought our ScottishPower-funded Energy through Time project to the Shetland Science Fair! ✨Over 2 days, 250+ students from Shetland schools got hands-on with archaeology workshops, designed water wheels and tackled climate change’s impact on Shetland’s heritage!

We're making some great progress on our dig at Ochiltree with some fab volunteers and P6/7 pupils from Ochiltree Primary School. We've re-exposed the trenches from March and are now working on determining how, and if, the features are related Coalfield Communities Landscape Partnership Archaeology Scotland Learning Team East Ayrshire


As our excavation at Ochiltree reaches the business end it was an honour to welcome veterans from Erskine Veterans Charity yesterday to focus on employability skills, health & wellbeing and to help continue our excavation alongside the local community. Huge thanks to Bobby, Jim & Alan 👏


Bletchley Park Scottish Centre - War Studies/Conflict Archaeology Newbattle Abbey College at Dalkeith was a military base during #WW2. By October 1939 both the ATS and RAMC were using the college, grounds, and an extensive network of huts as a training base. Recruits spent 3-6 weeks onsite before being deployed to onward wartime roles.



Another fascinating piece of history in Jobs North Ayrshire, the Haylie Neolithic Tomb in Largs. Older than Stonehenge, the significance was recognised years ago but getting verification & clearing area to protect it has taken a while. Many thanks to all involved! 👏👏
