Learning a lot very quickly about this squad due to the adversity they’re facing. They’re natural athletes & fit as butchers dogs. They’re also willing to fight for each other. Their effort on the pitch is being reciprocated on the terraces too. No way we come away from that

Disjointed first 30 mins, midfield didn’t tick as well without Byers but Shipley imposed himself in a different fashion later on. Swiss Prince with a goal rewarding his hard work thus far this season. Ronan needs a good start to the second half or else it’s Mo on at 60 mins

Two forced subs of Ojo and Shipley killed us there. It ripped the control from midfield and subsequently disrupted the defence with Cam having to step up. We sat ten yards deeper and for the first time this season looked devoid of energy for the last ten mins. Poor bench

Birmingham City 0 v 1 Port Vale EFL Cup Round 2 Attendance 21,052. Missed opportunity to get to Round 3 Too many changes to #BCFC starting 11, allowed #PVFCLive to grow into the game. A deserved win for them & good luck to them in the next round

Park the result. Tonight taught us something different. Port Vale under Darren Moore have incredible resilience. Team were phenomenal. Fans amazing; especially the youth lot on the divide. Whose taking credit for the chant that was so cathartic for us all! What a wonderful

That was just a warm up. Could have done us in return but 19k appeared to have lost their voice? Dont forget we serenaded your lack of bin men and suggested you “stick your Peaky Blinders up your arse!” #pvfc

The Vale media team being a bunch of pros, you can guarantee we won't be announcing a striker until 7 or later, when they've had their fun with us 😅 #pvfc

First 11 all wrong. Orient are way too mobile for us in their attacking third. Jaheim weak as piss. Heneghan like a duck out of water against pace. Beckles is pocketing Mo. No energy across the pitch. Who’s taking responsibility for Connolly and Ballard. Terrible half #pvfc

Frustrated walking out of that one. We appear to have forgotten how ruthless League One can be. It’s very, very fine margins and this squad is easily good enough for a mid table finish. Surely the tide has to turn soon? Up the Vale! #pvfc
