🧵 Exciting new preprint! 🚨 We’ve uncovered how Bifidobacterium pseudocatenulatum capsular exopolysaccharides (EPS) can enhance systemic anti-tumour immunity in pre-clinical breast cancer models. Here's what we found 👇 #cancerresearch #microbiome

This is odd. A cancer microbiome machine learning paper that uses data from the retracted Poore et al. Nature paper has been published just last week in mSystems. Some of the claims seem very strong. Also, it seems to have been accepted four days after submission. #microbiome

E. coli strains have been linked to higher cancer risk. Could a vaccine targeting these bacteria reduce cancer rates? The research by the UK's Sanger Institute & Finland's University of Helsinki is promising... eastangliabylines.co.uk/news/health/e-…

Would love feedback on a new NCBI-BLAST service we are launching today: sky-blast.com It's the same BLAST executable and DBs provided by NCBI with a replica of the NIH's interface - providing an alternative to US gov service that's less congested, faster & more reliable

This is a lovely preprint - taking advantage of EBV viraemic individuals in UK Biobank to try and sort out whether EBV variants identified in cancer are also present in the healthy population, not causing disease biorxiv.org/content/10.110…
