These little streaks on radar are called gravity waves. They are similar to the ripples that form when you throw a rock into a pond. Occasionally they can start a shower or thunderstorm, but seem to be mostly benign as they pass eastward this morning. #okwx

Isolated storms have been firing in southern KS, NW OK, and in the Texas panhandle so far this aftn. There is still a bit of a "kick" coming in from southwestern KS that will intensify and increase storm coverage into this evening, primarily within the blue circled area! #okwx

This is a pretty big cluster of severe storms in northern Oklahoma. Lots of lightning, some hail, and winds to 65mph. Also, the storms are lacking steering winds, so they are barely moving and the flash flood threat is growing fast! #okwx KFOR -Aaron 6:10p Saturday

Its baaaack! Another high altitude balloon is floating slowly over the metro. Reports of sightings are coming in! Its lazily moving at 6mph as of 10:20A over the SE metro, and is about 20,000 feet above commercial air traffic. Who can see it!? KFOR #okwx

Oh my gosh! Fall is here, but its going to be a short visit! We will see slightly warmer temps Wednesday with a mix of 70s and 80s. Fall appears to end, yet again, by Thursday into the weekend with upper 80s and even more 90s! #OKWX
