Paul is amazing person, a first rate lecturer and supportive, receptive role model to me and other PhD students. I’m gutted. Without him there’s a huge gulf in teaching Earth Sciences Bham to fill. Wherever he goes next, know he will be an asset and a credit to you.
Check out Dr Charlotte Bird’s fab animation on Cynodont brain morphology for the Lyme Regis Lyme Regis Fossil Festival here...

Here are more reasons to read Millie Kerr's 'Wilder'. Discover rewilding projects for Argentinian jaguars, South African pangolins and Galápagos giant tortoises, as well as species reintroductions in the Global South and countries experiencing conflict.

Rounding off a series of great talks today at Mineralogy and Museums 10 with tours of Amgueddfa Caerdydd’s meteorite collection and a poster session. #mineralogy #minerals #geology #earthscience
That brings to an end the Mineralogy & Museums 10 Conference Amgueddfa Caerdydd. A host of fab talks and posters were on show to highlight the importance and depth of minerals, mineralogy and gemmology to museums, researchers and the communities we strive to reach - here’s to M&M11.
Great to host old colleagues from Earth Sciences Bham today Amgueddfa Caerdydd to work on some fascinating fossil material - outside the norm for the lab! 🤩 @ButlerLabBham Luke Meade Cardiff Curator
