We are looking forward to welcoming all our pupils back tomorrow after the Easter holiday. During the break, many of our pupils took part in study clinics in preparation for exam season and our CCF cadets visited the Jersey Camp on the Isle of Wight for the annual Easter trip.

Congratulations to Upper 6th students Sienna, Jennifer, Nelson and Lucy who achieved Bronze Awards in the Chemistry Olympiad, a national challenge run by the Royal Society of Chemistry. It is an extremely tough competition consisting of a 2 hour exam paper.

Charlie (L5) was selected with his cadet unit to attend a coronation Parade in tribute for the king at the old Royal Navy college in Greenwich. Only 450 cadets were selected for this event and it turned out to be a very special occasion.

St Edmund's were delighted to host the Herne Bay & East Kent Coastal School Games Partnership Hi 5 netball tournament on 17th May. Ten teams from schools in the Whitstable, Faversham & Herne Bay area travelled to Canterbury to compete against one another in the Hi 5 tournament.

On 11th July, pupils from St Ed's travelled to Malawi with money raised through the Interact Committee for the charity Team Malawi.⁠ ⁠ Team Malawi funds educational projects in rural Malawi, mainly school bursaries and basic school resources. ⁠ ⁠

On Saturday, a trio of past and present pupils Katie Pennington-Arnold, James Hodgkinson & Orlando Barton-Hodges, performed Haydn's Nelson Mass with Whitstable Choral Society. They performed superbly and were commended by the audience and choir. Well done!
