Renowned surgeon Dr Adnan Al Bursh was abducted from a Gaza hospital in Dec 23. A former student of King's College London, he was imprisoned in Israel for 4 months. A fellow detainee testified to Healthcare Workers Watch - Palestine that he was being tortured. Today 2 prisoner orgs announced he has been killed.

We are deeply concerned to learn that one of Gaza's most senior orthopedic surgeons, Dr Adnan Al Bursh, has died while detained in an Israeli prison.

His death must be urgently investigated, amid reports of torture, ill treatment and medical neglect of Palestinian detainees.
