Dozens of Columbia students and community members have barricaded themselves inside the Hamilton building to protest the University’s complicity in the genocidal war on Gaza. Hundreds of students are picketing outside the building as well as the encampment.

If 'never again' is the true purpose of studying the Holocaust and historical atrocities, educators and historians (myself included) have failed miserably. We have spent so much time focusing on the violence of others that we ignored our own. Or maybe that was the point all along
