Yesterday I joined other Group Leaders and colleagues from Stockport Council and Stockport Labour Group in signing the book of condolence at the Town Hall for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

The Mayor of Stockport, Group Leaders, Councillors and Officers of the Metropolitan Borough of Stockport are deeply saddened at the news of the death of Her Majesty The Queen.

#OnThisDay last year, a MoU was signed to set up a strategic partnership between Greater Manchester 🇬🇧 & the Ruhr 🇩🇪. The BGA initiated & supported the development of the regional partnership, together with Greater Manchester Combined Authority, Regionalverband Ruhr, Rafe Philip Courage, UK in Germany & @MBEI_NRW.

🚄 NEW: GM LEP, GM Chamber and other Greater Manchester business representatives have written to Government and Avanti West Coast.

We are concerned by recent service reductions and seek an urgent restoration of the full timetable.
