I was laid off from Twitter this afternoon. I was in charge of managing badge access to Twitter offices. Elon just called me and asked if I could come back to help them regain access to HQ as they shut off all badges and accidentally locked themselves out.

Best case is OK->OK, but OK->BAD seems more likely.

So far mastodon seems like the worst parts of Twitter and BitTorrent.

Shoutout to the 3000 people who followed me in 2010 because I worked for Twitter. Thanks for sticking it out this long.

Gonna be awkward tomorrow, like when you say goodbye to your date, but then you both walk the same way for another block.

It’s amusing to poke fun at the hot takes on just how easy it is to run the site, or be distracted by the latest Elon shitpost, but let’s not lose track of the fact that $13B debt added to the balance sheet killed the company way more effectively than firing all the SREs.
